Spam Filter Now Available

CVIP is pleased to announce the launch of a new service to help identify and remove unwanted and unsolicited e-mail messages (commonly known as Spam). This service is free to all CVIP customers.

Here's how it works:

The software to identify and remove Spam from your email account has been installed on our servers. There is nothing to install on your computer. To activate this service, log on to your email account at http://www.cvip.net and choose "Options" from the menu bar near the top of the browser window. From the "Options" menu, choose "Spam Filter" from the vertical menu bar at the left side of the browser window. This will bring up the Spam Filter Options page where you can enable the filter and select the options you prefer.

You can have Spam moved to a separate folder on the e-mail server, or delivered to your normal e-mail client. Messages moved to a folder on the server will be retained for one month and then deleted. Messages delivered to your normal e-mail can be filtered using the capabilities of your mail client and moved to a separate folder on your workstation.

For more information on this new service, see our Frequently Asked Questions page at http://sa.cvip.net/sa/sa-faq.html.

If you need help configuring this service, or the filtering capability of your e-mail client, please contact the CVIP Help Desk at 278-1111.

Speed Up Your Internet
In addition to the new spam filtering service, CVIP offers a web caching service that can significantly speed up your internet experience. By storing commonly accessed web pages on our server, this service makes it possible to browse the web much faster than is normally possible.
